Privacy Policy

Scope

Inbox Relay is a private, personal-use application operated solely for its owner. It has no public user registration.

Google user data accessed

The application uses the Gmail API to retrieve incoming message identifiers, headers, timestamps, labels, and message content needed to detect and summarize important mail. It uses send access only for a reply that the owner has prepared and explicitly confirmed.

How data is used

• Identify newly received messages and prevent duplicate notifications.
• Classify whether a message is likely to require the owner's attention.
• Translate or summarize selected message content for the owner.
• Prepare and, only after explicit confirmation, send a reply in the original thread.

Processing and disclosure

Processing runs on an access-controlled server operated by the owner. Content selected for summarization may be transmitted to the owner's configured AI service provider solely to produce that summary, and the resulting notification may be transmitted to the owner's private messaging account. Data is not sold, used for advertising, shared for unrelated purposes, or used to train a general-purpose model by Inbox Relay.

Storage and retention

• OAuth credentials and refresh tokens are stored in access-restricted files on the owner's server and retained until revoked or replaced.
• A rolling set of up to 5,000 message identifiers and notification fingerprints, plus timestamps, is retained to prevent duplicate processing.
• Prepared reply content is protected by a short-lived confirmation record. A confirmation is valid for 30 minutes and cannot be reused after sending.
• Message bodies are not maintained as a separate mailbox archive by Inbox Relay.

Security and control

Access tokens and state files are limited to the service account running the application. The owner can stop processing at any time, revoke access from the Google Account security settings, and delete the locally stored token and state files.

Google API Limited Use

Inbox Relay's use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
